Every so often it feels good to freshen things up in your home. While this usually manifests itself as totally rearranging all of the furniture in our house…art can be such an impactful and easier way to accomplish that change of scenery you crave. Whether is a big statement piece or not, it’s amazing what art can do to a space to set a different mood and give the room a more polished but lived-in look. Nothing says you just moved in than no art on the walls. We know this feeling all too well since our house has been in this weird “we’re about to renovate” limbo for months. I’ve begun to prop art up around the house and got away with getting a statement piece for over the fireplace that I love.
My biggest tip for picking art for your home would be to choose something that speaks to you. That may sound conventional, but it’s so true. You know it when you see it. Like a siren song you can’t take your eyes off of it. For me, that’s the first painting in this round up. I hesitated to included it because by the time I share this post I may have already bought it. It’s lovely!
