Vintage Inspired Black Ranges
While I love what's trending in kitchens these days with all white cabinets + countertops, brass accents and open walls, black stoves have stuck out as a design element that feels unique and different. From La Cornue to Lacanche and even Viking, these black ranges boast a vintage look with mixed metals and the ability to choose from a variety of different metal finishes. I love how a black stove can fit in in different kitchens from traditional to contemporary to industrial with vintage flair.
After seeing the price tags associated with some of these you are definitely paying for it! Some of the bigger ranges cost what you might expect from the whole kitchen renovation would, but aren't they gorgeous?
Looking for an affordable option? To date, I've only found one I think keeps the luster of the black vintage stove for a reasonable prices. SMEG is the most affordable black stove I've found so far that keeps the luster with antique characteristics. Surprisingly SMEG is sold at West Elm now, who knew.
I have seen quite a few people talking about these beauties but haven't seen a lot of talk around their functionality. And I'm SO curious. Are you paying for style, functionality or both?? Anyone cooked with one of these?
