Monday Musings + Spring Cleaning
And...we're back. Today's post will be a bit all over the place. It's been a busy past couple of weeks traveling from Park City, UT to Austin, TX for SXSW to Las Vegas for the opening weekend of March Madness. Phew! But so worth it. We spent this past weekend at home kicking off spring cleaning. Does the room above look familiar? Not surprised if you said no even if you've been following along. This is our future family room that has been an absolute MESS since moving into our house last spring (aka not pictured here). We stocked piled boxes galore in this room at the onset thinking our renovations would be imminent, ha. Ten months later and it was time to clean up. Decorating for now is makeshift with pieces that haven't found their permanent place yet.
On the renovation front, we are making progress and have met with a few contractors to get bids on the plans we have in the works. We are playing around with the idea of putting the master bath over the existing screened-in porch structure, so we met with an engineer this week to check foundation.
Things are looking great for a nearly 100 year old home! The downside - turns out additions like this take 4-6 months to get permits from the city. Can you see where the inspiration to finally clean our side room came from? I am still second guessing our plans struggling with if we have enough closet space, if the kitchen layout is the right one, etc. So more to come here.
On a totally different note - I am loving pretty much everything being sold at Club Monaco right now. The perfect time to spring clean my way overdue closet and replenish with these pieces :)
