Mid-century meets south western decor is a style combination that crosses centuries and contents for a super unique and fun style. The sleek lines of mid-century furniture juxtaposed with bright colors and interesting textiles found in southwestern decor hit just the right balance for a structured but homey feel. In addition to being a lively and personalizable look this is a design that’s relatively inexpensive to create. With stores like IKEA and West Elm its easy to get the big pieces covered off on in complimentary Scandinavian design and mid-century design. Add in an oversized piece of art from a store like Minted and you’ve covered the big bases. What I like about this is you can layer in more splurge worthy pieces like light fixtures and rugs that really speak to your individual style.
In this week’s Looks I Love, this colorful and bold vintage runner and over-sized landscape photography are two of my favorites.
Like the look? Here are a few of my other favorites that nail the combination.
