This home tour is a breath of fresh air in historic Charleston with white airy rooms, envy worthy Parisian design touches and old world character.
I spent a summer in Charleston and always wondered what the insides of the beautiful houses on King Street looked like. This home, by South of Market’s Kay Douglas, was a pleasant surprise and one I would guess has a unique aesthetic compared to its neighbors. What struck me most about this home was the modern neutral palette against this 1840 row house’s historic bones and pops of bright colors. The mix of old and new and bold and muted leave the space feeling crisp and chic. Going through our renovation, I can only imagine how much work this home took to get to this place.
