I love a good apothecary or pharmacy lamp. With an antique yet industrial look this piece adds some pretty awesome contrast to an otherwise traditional room to create my favorite look. For me, apothecary lamps also hold some sentimental value as my husband’s late grandfather had one, Poppy’s lamp, propped next to his favorite chair for the entirety of the time I knew him. When I spotted an apothecary lamp nearly identical to Poppy’s I knew it needed a place in our home (plus at $15 this was a deal you can’t beat!) At that price, I assumed the lamp wasn’t going to turn on, but it really didn’t matter. I was pleasantly surprised when I got it home that the lamp did work and it found it’s spot in our living room nook next to my favorite bergere chairs.
In a cozy nook is my favorite place for an apothecary lamp but if you’re looking for a more striking statement I also love the look over this leather bench. Scroll down for a round up of apothecary lamps from budget-friendly to splurge worthy.
