This Modern French Home Has It All.

You’d typically expect for a historical French apartment to be decorated in antique grandeur. This one is the complete opposite and it is incredible. Located in Lyon, France, this home’s 1852 bones are perfectly juxtaposed with modern flair for a look I can’t put into words. (hey, good thing for photos).

It likely won’t surprise you that this home is owned by two interior designers with a passion for travel and a design business called Maison Hand. The unlikely style mixes have influences from Japan, Burma, Morocco, to well…of course France. All pulled together in way that makes the modern decor feel grand enough for the centuries old herringbone floors and ornate cased openings.
