A Traditional Masculine Southern Study

A Traditional Masculine Southern Study

Call me old fashioned...or southern... but I love the style of a traditional masculine study. Everything about it's masculine accents - dark colors like hunter green, charcoal and black walls to its heavy wood pieces, antique rugs, plaid patterns and hunting garb. We didn't have a room like this growing up in my house (I'll chalk it up to my dad not being a hunter), but I have always planned on decorating a room like this once I had my own home. Upon moving in, CT immediately claimed a bright and sunny room off the living room as his future study. With five windows and natural light from every direction, I'm having doubts about transforming it's sunny disposition into a manly study but think I could make it work with hunter green or deep blue hues.
